 Remembering customers' names can help them feel welcome and mean bigger tips for you. Easier said than done, right? If you struggle with remembering names, you can try:

 Repeating their name a few times when you meet them
("It's nice to meet you, John," and "What can I get for you, John?")

 Writing their name on the ticket or tab

Associating their name with something else
For a shorter customer named Sue, you could think "Short Sue." For a sports fan named Frank, think "Football Frank." Nancy with the sparkly earrings becomes "Fancy Nancy." The sillier they are, the more they will stick in your mind.
