Hot Drinks for Cold Days
When the weather outside is frightful, a hot drink can chase the chill away and add variety to your winter drink menu. Not sure where to start? Here are a few to try.

For a coffee drink with chocolate and hazelnut flavors, Aspen Coffee hits the spot.

In a preheated coffee mug, build with:
  • ½ oz Kahlua 
  • ½ oz. Bailey's Irish Cream 
  • ½ oz. Frangelica 
  • Pour in hot coffee 
  • Top with whipped cream (optional) 
If you prefer apple cider to coffee, the Apple Toddy may be for you. 

Apple Toddy
In a preheated coffee mug, build with:
  • 1 oz Apple Jack or Calvados 
  • ½ oz. simple syrup 
  • Fill with hot apple cider 
  • Garnish with nutmeg 
No apple cider on hand? Try a Hot Toddy instead.

Hot Toddy
In a preheated coffee mug, build with:
  • 1-1/2 oz. Brandy or Bourbon 
  • 1 tsp. sugar 
  • Fill with hot water 
  • Garnish with a lemon twist 

image When making hot drinks, remember to preheat the glass or mug by pouring hot water into it. Also, if you're using a glass, rather than a coffee mug, put a bar spoon into the glass while making the drink to prevent the glass from breaking.
